@Tommy_USA @tedcruz Government regulated School Choice vouchers are SUBSIDIES and violate the Republican Party PRINCIPLES.
Why is this so difficult for people to grasp? @TuckerCarlson
Ted is all about #FedEd. Just like the Bushes.

@seanhannity I am not happy about ANYONE losing their jobs, but this is NOT a private company. They don't have a product. Government positions PRODUCE nothing. They are not paid with capital from the product. Students have languished and have been HURT by #FEDED -end it
Connecticut Republican Linda McMahon working to end #FedEd!

300 Education Department Staffers Took Buyout Offer: Secretary McMahon
https://t.co/BxHs7SQGAm
The number one reason to dismantle and abolish the U.S. Department of Education is the fact that teachers unions benefit directly and indirectly from it in several ways:
1. **Funding and Grants**: The Department of Education administers numerous federal education grants and programs. Teachers unions can influence how these funds are allocated, often advocating for policies that increase funding for education, which indirectly benefits teachers (and thus the unions) through better salaries, benefits, or working conditions.
2. **Policy Influence**: Teachers unions have a significant voice in educational policy-making. They lobby the Department of Education for changes that favor their members, like smaller class sizes, more professional development opportunities, or regulations that protect teachers' job security and rights.
3. **Collective Bargaining Support**: While collective bargaining is typically a state or local issue, national policies or funding can impact how negotiations occur. The Department of Education can influence environments where unions operate, for example, by promoting or not challenging policies that support collective bargaining rights.
4. **Regulatory Advocacy**: Unions can push for regulations that benefit educators, such as rules regarding teacher certification, evaluations, or protections against dismissals, which are often influenced or set by federal guidelines or funding stipulations.
5. **Professional Development**: Programs and initiatives from the Department of Education often include professional development for teachers. Unions can negotiate or advocate for their members to have access to these resources, which can lead to better professional opportunities for teachers.
6. **Political Influence**: The Department of Education acts as a platform for unions to engage in broader political activities. By working closely with the department, unions gain political leverage, which can translate into support for union-friendly candidates or legislation.
7. **Information and Research**: The Department provides data, research, and educational trends analysis which unions can use to formulate their strategies or support their positions in public debates or during negotiations.
8. **Legal Support**: In cases where educational policies might be contentious or legally challenged, having a rapport with the Department can provide unions with insights or sometimes support in navigating legal landscapes.
These benefits help teachers unions to strengthen their position, protect their members' interests, and influence educational policy at both national and local levels. However, it's worth noting that this relationship can also be seen critically by those who argue that it sometimes prioritizes union interests over broader educational reform or student outcomes.
Eliminating the Federal Department of Education is a fiscally responsible moral imperative.
No, that is all theater. 🎭
He doesn’t even have the power to end the Dept of Education.
The states have the power to reject #FedEd and the strings, but we never do.
***We must REPEAL Obama’s ESSA.
I told Trump to his face in 2016 to end the department and he agreed but did the OPPOSITE and grew the department under Betsy DeVos.
His plan is to shift the money into private hands rather than returning the money to the taxpayers and end #FedEd.
💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸
Leaders never relinquish power once they grab it.
Why would Trump dissolve a department that affords him more power? 🤷🏻♀️
He didn’t do it his first term and he won’t do it this time.

😳
WOW
I thought Tennessee @TNedu schools were bad, but this chic just manage to evidence that @NMPED is next level disaster
We seriously need to scrap #FedEd, go back to pre1980s Classrooms & for God sake, keep @BillGates as far from Edu as possible! 👀
Its all smoke mirrors...nothings getting "forgiven"...just rearranging deck chairs on #FedEd titanic...
Said the lobbyist who used to worked for @BetsyDeVos.
The DeVos clown show accomplished a lot under @realDonaldTrump
🤡 Expanded the @usedgov
🤡 Grew federal spending
🤡 Solved nothing in education
🤡 Failed at shutting down #FedEd
🤡 Perpetuated School Choice™️ myths
Follow the money @Woodyboy2020@Woodyboy2020

You miss the point every time!
Shame on me for trying to reason with a proponent of unconstitutional #FedEd and #dataharvesting
I don’t care how many times you tell me there were gains made after NCLB.
The only gains I can see are FINANCIAL. You helped them in every way and they rewarded you too.
The money NEVER makes its way to the teachers and students. The only way to resolve this is to end the contracts.
Follow the money, find the truth. I did.
The solutions are local.
Shut down TEA and the Dept of Education.
Return to books, paper, pencils, classical, education, and pay the teachers very well and train them with the money saved on all the bullsh*t experiments and edtech devices.
@conservdriver @NowPammsy @Chalkbeat @ChalkbeatTN @ProEdTN @TEA_teachers @RepMarkWhite @CepickyTn64 @JeremyFaison4TN @WilliamLamberth @TNedu @usedgov Dept Education, aka #FedEd, as established in 1980s by PresidentCarter, has not only FAILED accomplishing ANY of its goals… it’s steadily taken education📉into the dumpster fire that we see today.
I remember when schools… pre-FedEd …were academic beacons of their communities
@LtGovColeman Since President Carter established #FedEd in the 1980s… We have seen Education & Academic learning in steady decline.
The NCLB graduates & the CommonCore graduates who followed, have brought us to this 👇
as measure of literacy, for the current state of Academia, per @UNC 👀🤦♀️

#FedeD

Empty platitudes. Hot air. Campaign promises.
@Woodyboy2020 and I told him to end the @usedgov at a rally in Austin before he was elected in 2016.
He did the opposite with @BetsyDeVos and grew #FedEd and overreach.
@dizzyizzu God bless this gentleman!!
This California Dealership is not the only one…. @Hertz did it to bunch of paying customers 👀
The phenomenon of this level of incompetence seems to be particular to #CommonCore graduates joining the workforce🤦♀️
Thanks #FedEd 🙄
#education #Teachers
@TondanUpadat @michaelpleahy @TnCoNews1 @DanMandisShow @mattmurphyshow @ChrisHandOnAir @CepickyTn64 @JeremyFaison4TN @jcbowman @norinrad10 @TheGillReport School academics were DEFINITELY of higher value before the establishment of #FedEd under President Carter.
We forsure should consider a defund of FedEd, and return it to the States, as it was before it was made a Cabinet position.
cc: @realDonaldTrump
The same administration also EXPANDED the Department of Education @usedgov and grew the federal intrusion under @BetsyDeVos. #FedEd
Do you support universal healthcare?
Do you support universal basic income? #UBI
Do you support universal pre-K?
Do you support Universal School Choice? #ESA

@MOEdWatch Repeal ESSA. That 5th indicator is a huge problem.
Why doesn’t @MikeMorath want to end #FedEd?
Because it’s a huge gravy train for his cronies who peddle their (soft)wares and SEL garbage.
There’s no constitutional justification for #FedEd.
The ISDs bitch and moan about money and they’ll do anything for it while crying poor mouth.
They have an insatiable appetite for funding but not academic learning and children.
I realize the buckets of money with I & S and M & O were designed to make the Byzantine system convoluted and hard to follow the money, but they squander it at all levels of government…Fed, state, local.
Starve the beast.
Get the high-stakes testing and #edtech vendors out of there.
Return to classical model, pay the teachers well, train them with money saved on experiments, and give the students quality instructional materials (not #HQIM #HB1605).
