👖 NOW OPEN 👖
Our new free display, Tomorrow’s Wardrobe by #FutureObservatory, is now open.
Tomorrow's Wardrobe explores urgent research and innovation taking place to design a future for fashion that is both stylish and sustainable, with works on display by designers including Ahluwalia, @PhoebeEnglish and @StellaMcCartney.
The display will look at initiatives and research across the production, design and use of clothes to reduce the industry’s environmental and social impact.
Tomorrow’s Wardrobe is the second free display in the museum’s new #FutureObservatory display space, which platforms ongoing design research projects across the UK, in partnership with @ahrcpress.

Calling all emerging design researchers 📣
Applications are now open to join the next cohort of our Design Researchers in Residence programme at the Design Museum. Supported by Arts and Humanities Research Council (@ahrcpress), the annual #FutureObservatory programme supports thinkers at the start of their careers to develop new research into the climate crisis.
The theme for this year’s residency is ‘artificial’, and we welcome applications that critically question or blur the boundaries between what is natural and what is unnatural.
The deadline for project proposals is 23 September 2024. Tap the link to find out more and apply - https://t.co/7D409pfTgE
