Think twice about using backer money to build a game ENGINE when you raised it to build a GAME. Folks won't see it the same way, and you are by definition delaying the game. #gdevtalk

I think Steam should add toggleable gamification elements to the developer dashboard.
Right now there are a lot of beginner indie developers, and at the beginning of the path itβs often quite hard to control yourself β something you postpone for later or find an imagined reason not to do at all.
Specifically, we originally didnβt plan to translate the game page or even the game itself into all Steam-supported languages β we were planning to add around 9-11 languages, but the list kept turning green, and we got into the swing of it...
It happened AGAIN.
The engine suddenly won't load the game file. Says it can't be read. Had to restore from a backup and lost days of work.
All part of that #gdevtalk life.
