Hey @SecWar @SecKennedy @SecDuffy @DeptVetAffairs @VeteransHealth @JDVance ...
My father @StephenIverson, a Vietnam-era Veteran, was loving the #Gerofit program at the VA in #Cincinnati and was seeing wonderful health benefits because of it. It has now been taken away from him and the #VA is forcing him to pay. My dad spends three days a week there talking to veterans, working out and making friends. Why is the VA breaking up this community of veterans who are trying to get healthy, both physically and mentally?
While Gerofit, an exercise and wellness class through the VA, has been free, members will now need to start paying a copay for the class.
"Yeah, free, except for our service," said James Bush, an Air Force veteran.
