That’s not a detail, that’s a fundamental mistake.
Then the “family tree”:
No verified “Hassan bin Laden” in any credible reporting
No confirmed daughter of Mullah Omar named “Bibi Zahra”
No evidence for any of these connections
And the biggest tell:
The claim that Mullah Omar would marry off a daughter to an Arab outsider from Al-Qaeda.
That goes directly against how Taliban power structures work:
Rooted in #Pashtun tribal networks
Marriages used to secure internal tribal alliances
Not to integrate foreign jihadist families into the core
Al-Qaeda were guests. Not family.
If you understand southern #Afghanistan (#Kandahar, #Uruzgan, #Helmand) you don’t make these mistakes.
Not every #Pashtun = #Taliban.
Pashtuns are Afghanistan’s largest ethnic group, but tribal lines matter:
🔹 #Ghilzai + #Kandahari clans (#Noorzai, #Ishaqzai, #Achakzai) → core of the Taliban movement.
🔹 #Popalzai (e.g. @KarzaiH) & #Barakzai → often anti-Taliban, tied to Kabul gov’t & international allies.
🔹 Even within Taliban leadership, exceptions exist: #Baradar (Popalzai) shows it’s not monolithic.
