The Spanish Senate refused to contemplate a question on memory politics bc it included the phrase “the genocidal dictator” and they considered calling Franco “genocidal” was disrespectful. Wow, friends, looks like exhuming Franco really did fix all of Spain’s #histmem issues. 🙄
