On June 22, in partnership with @PlanRwanda & @NyaruguruDistrict, @CaritasRwanda through #ECD_Project conducted a #HomeBasedECD transition to Primary School (P1) from the Rusenge Sector. It was an occasion to recognize the importance of HBECD in children’s education & growth.
The Literacy and Adult Basic Education (LABE) is currently implementing the Home-Based Early Childhood Development (ECD) model to support inclusive access to quality ECD in Nothern Uganda and in the West-Nile sub region.

In the last 10 years, over 12,000 children have accessed home-based ECD and completed primary education successfully. Currently, there are 806 pre-school children enrolled in the home-based ECD centers with 47 care givers or parent educators.
