The diagnosis of borderline personality disorder makes someone *more* vulnerable to abuse from professionals because it’s both a social marker that reduces credibility and a clinical frame that can be twisted to hide harm. This is a structural issue. #HumanNotPD #TraumaNotPD

Rejection sensitivity is central to ADHD, autism, and cPTSD.
Mental health services rarely understand rejection sensitivity, which is why people in all three diagnostic categories are so often told there is something wrong with their personality.

Tell a clinician what you need to avoid overwhelm, burnout, or meltdown.
They ignore it.
You hit your limit—either kick off or collapse.
Then, you’re blamed or dropped for being ‘monstrous’ or ‘not trying hard enough.’

Many predators also weaponize 'BPD' against vulnerable individuals after initially love-bombing them. For those raised as female, it’s almost impossible not to see themselves in BPD criteria. This label is used to tear down vulnerable people for narcissistic supply. #HumanNotPD

When will mental health professionals get over the idea the only way to conceptualise that some people need long-term support and therapy is by having them agree they have a personality disorder? Its utterly illogical and its used to gaslight people THE WHOLE TIME. #HumanNotPD
About 50% of those who die by suicide in the UK have a history of self-harm. Yet, many are treated like their personality is the problem. This is exactly the wrong approach. We need to offer validation, empathy, and real support—not judgment.
