Depuis plusieurs semaines, la rédaction de @betordc suit de près un phénomène aussi préoccupant que révélateur : la bataille pour la vérité et la mémoire du Congo s’est retrouvée au cœur de la guerre d’agression rwandaise, déplaçant le combat du terrain militaire vers celui des récits, des plateformes numériques et de l’opinion mondiale.
L’enquête que nous publions aujourd’hui, intitulée « L’autre guerre d’agression », plonge au cœur de cette lutte silencieuse. À travers des documents exclusifs, des analyses de données numériques et des entretiens avec des experts, elle met en lumière comment la guerre menée contre la RDC s’étend désormais au champ de la désinformation, du lobbying et de la propagande transnationale.
Dans une première partie, à lire ce soir, explorons les faits depuis notamment la prise de Goma par le M23 et l'armée rwandaise, les connivences entre acteurs politiques, militants et réseaux d’influence pro-rwandais, ainsi que des campagnes numériques coordonnées visant le plaidoyer congolais pour la reconnaissance du Genocost.
À travers des données, des sources institutionnelles et des recoupements journalistiques, notre équipe a pu retracer les mécanismes de cette guerre informationnelle : fabrication de narratifs hostiles, amplification algorithmique, relais dans la diaspora et instrumentalisation de figures citoyennes. Ce travail, mené sur plusieurs mois, vise à donner à comprendre une réalité complexe, où l’image du Congo devient un terrain de confrontation stratégique.
Dans un contexte où la manipulation des faits menace la cohésion nationale autant que la justice pour les victimes, notre responsabilité est d’enquêter, d’expliquer et de restituer les faits avec rigueur.
Cette série cherche à éclairer. Elle rappelle que la mémoire du Congo est aussi un champ de souveraineté, et que la vérité sur le Genocost n’appartient ni aux propagandes ni aux algorithmes, mais à l’histoire et aux faits.
