Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch Interventions: While formal PILs can only be filed in Indian courts, international watchdogs like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch filed extensive documented reports and formal petitions to the Indian government, which continuously pushed for judicial accountability and an end to impunity under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA). d. Misc Writ Petitions filed in the Punjab & Haryana High Court Yet to date, no one has looked into the tens of thousands of Hindus and other Civilians (including Sikhs) who were killed in Punjab during those years. No one has done a Nanavati-type commission, as was done for the 1984 Sikh Pogrom, and its time that we as a Nation confront our demons head on.
