Over 500+ people can now comfortably make better decisions in regards to health, starting a family or choice of partner, thanks to initiatives like #KnowYourType that seek to empower people with knowledge of their #Genotype status and Sickle cell disease.
Through collaborations with partners like @TackleSickle, and many others, we have been able to cast the net wider and screen as many individuals, giving them the power to know their status, plan for the future, and seek early care. Such partnerships significantly reduce the financial and accessibility burden many face while seeking such services in Uganda where a single screening test could be out of reach for some.
We intend to push this initiative further and believe in collaborative effort towards extending such services to our communities. Imagine what we can do together!
