Folks will say “We got invited to X” and my anxiety brain goes “wait, does that mean me?” even though I’m pretty sure it does.
Sadly, “We’ll” and “w’all” don’t work like “y’all” does 😭

@PirainoXlations Well try #russian where instead of distinct conjugations for the perfect/imperfect, you have 2 different words. Yep, 2 verbs for "to read"; 2 verbs for "to see", etc.
And if that's not enough: Perfect/imperfect exists in the present/future, too!

"He chose poorly." --> preterit, l'action est finie, on ne peut plus finie, puisque le mec est mort.
"You have chosen wisely." --> present perfect, Indy vient de choisir et cet acte passé se continue/a un effet dans le présent et le futur proche. #LanguageGeek

Especially if you are enjoying it :-) It's funny cause it's actually one of the more common mistakes Dutch language speakers make when they translate to English as they often don't switch their tense and so the English sounds just a bit off #languagegeek
