This morning, I received news about the surge in trading activity of the $lbit inscription on the OKX Ordinals marketplace, with its floor price substantially increasing. As the founder of LumiBit, I'm a firm believer in the core principle of decentralization: fair access to information. So, I want to fully disclose all developments related to $lbit and LumiBit. On the morning of December 23, we began minting the $lbit inscriptions. Our choice was driven by fairness – it wasn't deployed by us and its ticker aligns with our project's name. We minted about half of the 21,000 inscriptions, spending over $300,000 on gas fees. The market's response and the inscription's quick uptake by bots and enthusiasts were overwhelming and astonishing. The minting was completed in less than two hours. Committed to fairness, we will treat all inscriptions equally, regardless of who minted them. In our plan, these inscriptions are rewards for developers and early panticipants in our Layer 2 ecosystem as part of our marketing operations. Any remaining inscriptions will be reserved in the LumiBit treasury for post-mainnet incentives. So the best way to get involved with $lbit is through contributing to and interacting with LumiBit.
