@ProsecutorsPod Julia Beverly is innocent and your slanted take full of logical fallacies, misrepresentations and blatant lies won't change that.
BTW #LeoSchofield is still legally guilty!!!
Would love to see a movie based on the Michelle Schofield case. You hear the details and just think about films like Shawshank Redemption and A Time to Kill. #LeoSchofield #BoneValley
At 5:59 am yesterday, Leo Schofield walked out of prison after serving 36 years for a crime he did not commit.
We accompanied him to a halfway house. Stay tuned for a special bonus episode of #BoneValley

Never been happier for someone I’ve never even met. Godspeed #LeoSchofield

@ProsecutorsPod You did this too! You misrepresented #LeoSchofield case. You didn't tell listeners that Jeremy Scott's co-conspirator for murder was Leo's friend & cellmate? Or Leo's dad returned a carpet cleaner? You use a cropped photo to make the dirt path look like a crime scene?-read notes

For listeners of #BoneValley and @ProsecutorsPod about #LeoSchofield, please help me as I work on Episode 2 about the case. Tweet an answer back to this question, "How do you know that there was no blood found in Leo's trailer bedroom?"

For folks looking for another sad story, the DownRabbit #LeoSchofield episode is up. This case was covered by the @ProsecutorsPod and #BoneValley.
Our summary episode covers the trial, some details that didn't make those pods & some remaining questions.

#JeremyScott was known to steal from cars he came across — especially stereo equipment. A couple of his prints were found in the #LeoSchofield car in places consistent with stealing the stereo. Otherwise, the car had been wiped clean of prints. In fact, when Jeremy was first asked why his fingerprints were found in the car, he answered that he stole the stereo.
Jeremy is mentally challenged and totally unreliable. During Leo’s appeal regarding Jeremy, he confessed and recanted during the same procedure. When shown the crime scene photos, he was horrified — and declared he could not have done that. Jeremy has said, more than once, that he would confess to all the murders in Florida for $1000.
The only solid evidence against Jeremy are the limited fingerprints — adequately explained IMHO. Virtually the entirety of Jeremy’s confession could easily have been fed to him.
The #LeoSchofield case is a lot to unpack. If Leo had the brilliant case presented by @ProsecutorsPod, he would surely have been acquitted. They certainly gave me reasonable doubt — but that does not equal actual innocence. It’s just the textbook example of a winning SODDI defense.
Just remember that there are probably thousands of fledgling young career criminals in prison at the very moment for crimes they didn't actually commit — because they somehow fit the crime.
Where Jeremy Scott is concerned, I think it's wise to remember that an appeals court looked at him pretty closely — and weren’t convinced.
At yesterday’s parole hearing, the State did not really object to Leo’s parole — but they did expose how disingenuous #BoneValley was in presenting the case for Leo. At the end of the day, Bone Valley sits in the same pew as #Undisclosed, and many others, that presented their cases with something less than the absolute truth.
@robbchadwick But Jeremy Scott is quite credible as a suspect. Stack up the cases against them, and, if you to pick as a prosecutor, knowing what we know now, which one would you charge?
#LeoSchofield is granted parole. Only 2 votes required of the 3. I believe he is out in April 2024. It is now April 2024.
#LeoSchofield case not going well for Leo. State is up ripping into #BoneValley podcast. He said that the podcast directly misrepresented the last hearing with Jerry Hill. He is pissedddddd. He said Bone Valley edited the last hearing to misrepresent the case.
He is mad!!!
Inmate speaking at parole hearing of #LeoSchofield, chaplain was first. Leo greeted him at the bus when he was incarcerated. Leo encouraged him, inspired. Speaks of faith and education and how Leo's character never changed. Leo is no threat.
#LeoSchofield was convicted for the 1987 murder of his wife Michelle. #BoneValley pod covered the recent corkscrew twist in the case, @ProsecutorsPod followed. I'm doing a summary episode, help me ask some tough questions. Let's be nice to each other.
This is the best podcast I've listened to in a long time. The miscarriage of justice makes me sick. This will stick with me for a long time. I'll definitely being keeping tabs on #LeoSchofield and #PolkCoFL

Yeah, I don't believe a word Alice Scott said in regard to Michelle's murder.

#LeoSchofield
Right. The case presented by the @ProsecutorsPod would have absolutely left the trial jury with reasonable doubt — so, by that standard, #LeoSchofield should not be in prison. I now agree with that viewpoint.
However, there could be a universe out there somewhere where Leo (and/or his father) actually did kill Michelle — but benefitted by someone like Jeremy — who lived in the area, had also murdered people and just happened to steal car stereos.
At any rate, Jeremy really can't help Leo now. That ship sailed years ago — when Jeremy testified before an appeals court who found him not credible. I happen to also agree with that decision. Jeremy has confessed, then taken it back — but offered to confess to any murder in Florida for $1000 — and all the murders of a particular year. He's not credible — but Alice & Brett made the likelihood of Jerry’s guilt very credible.
Leo will probably be paroled this Spring — but unfortunately, if he is truly innocent, he will almost certainly leave this world with Michelle’s murder on his resume. As far as I'm concerned, his only possibility of a true exoneration would be a pardon from Ron DeSantis or a future governor of Florida. I don't see a new route in court for him.
#LeoSchofield’s case is not as clear as #AdnanSyed’s — mostly due to Leo’s father.
As far as Jeremy, he is a total red herring — and, even if one thinks he’s not, he is of no legal use to Leo. The courts have already found Jeremy unreliable.
If we include Leo and his father as a bundle, one (or both) are absolutely guilty.
The purpose of Bone Valley was to get parole for Leo. The possibility of a new trial for Leo no longer exists.
@_JeniDecker_ The podcast was great, the story isn't as clear as what is painted. The pod seems to have helped Leo, he should get released next year. Big question though, is he guilty? Folks that have taken a deep dive are split.
