The Legislative Priorities Subcommittee: Stop Sexualizing Texas Kids will be making a recommendation of support for SB 88 by Senator Bob Hall to the Legislative Priorities Committee. SB 88 removes the modified Miller test from the definition of Harmful Materials in 43.24 of Texas Penal Code. The modified Miller test contains several loopholes that allow porn to be in a book displayed, sold, and distributed to minors as long as the theme as a whole is not pornographic.
