We love learning! Today's #MARACFall2019 session is titled "Teaching Roles for Archivists: Supporting and Expanding Undergraduates' Primary Source Literacy Skills." As an undergrad or grad student, have how confident are you in your skills to read and interpret primary sources?

Today at #MARACFall2019, our very own @_cageorge debated the ethics of collecting social media posts like #MeToo with @bga_archivist from @UIarchives. The session was moderated by @emeliorated from @HistoryFactory.

Linke calls out MPLP. Something that you may have gone through years ago may now have antiquated language that needs to be updated. It’s important to go back over your collections. #maracfall2019

Georgetown also has a site that provides access to the documents to their history with slavery. It includes translations & has begun (like with Princeton & Rutgers) to expand to cover more. #maracfall2019 https://t.co/hPGE4B7ARl

Much like the Rutgers situation, it was student advocacy that led to Georgetown facing its history with slavery. #maracfall2019

Students pushed for Rutgers to explore its history with slavery & erased people. That led to the Scarlet and Black Project. #maracfall2019 https://t.co/JxrBdKxUkC

Linke calls for archives to be honest brokers of information and to open up their collections. Better to address controversies head on. #maracfall2019
