Over the last year we have started our organisation to help support #Micromuseums! 🎉
We have helped Ashdon Village Museum, Essex to start cataloguing, put up a QR code trail in the village and gain more volunteers! 😀
@BarnsleyMuseums Ashdon Village #Micromuseums has a wonderful array of teapots with individually knitted/crocheted cosies for its tea room! 🫖
And also some lovely coronation mugs! 👑

IT'S OUR 1st BIRTHDAY TODAY!! 😁🎂🎉🎁
Exactly one year ago we started to create packages to support #Micromuseums of local history - it has been a wonderful year connecting with Ashdon Village Museum, @JeyesEB, @WollastonMuseum and Burton Latimer Museum!
Many of the children I worked with today had never been in a museum before. When I told them the skills they had learnt by looking at displays and understanding them could be used in any museum in the world, they were gobsmacked.
Little museums can make a BIG difference #museum
Through our research, we discovered that #Micromuseums of local history have much richer object histories.

After being closed for 18 months, Ashdon Village Museum will be opening its doors on 25th July! 😁
We have loved working with them during lockdown and are very excited to be working in person with the volunteers and the public!
