Top Tweets for #modifiedmufflers
We applaud @PVDMayor Smileyβs testimony to the @RISenate in support of #noisecameras to curtail deliberate and unhealthy #vehiclenoise on Providence streets β primarily by a small cohort using #modifiedmufflers and over-amplified audio systems. #Sleepdeprivation harms EVERYONE.π
Ah, the sounds of Christmas in Providence: not caroling, sleighbells, or (this year) snowplows or people shoveling driveways β just the loud, intrusive sound of vehicles idling / driving by with illegal #modifiedmufflers.
When is that *finally* going to change, @PVDMayor Smiley?
The #noise generated by vehicles β including cars with #modifiedmufflers, loud motorcycles, and drivers who honk excessively β accounts for a small portion of all sound-related complaints, but itβs the target of a new tool intended to lower the volume in NY City: #noisecameras.
#POLL: How do you feel about modified mufflers on cars?
