So, #MPGM18 now over for about year. @Hyundai_UK #Kona #Electric has managed 337 miles over the two days, using just 89% battery. Astonishing. A true game changer. After today's 167 miles, it's got 48% remaining battery (started with 92%) - plenty for a smug 100-mile journey home
Update: #MPGM18. @Hyundai_UK #Kona #Electric still on average of 5.7 miles/kWh after 119 miles today, with 62% remaining battery (started on 92%). Could have done better, but upped speed to avoid missing lunch!
Awful run first thing this morning, thanks to a closed road in Coventry’s rush hour. But a decent run to lunch means I’m at an indicated 85mpg over 250 miles. #mpgm18

Marathon update. Set off with 92% this morning (overnight charge insufficient to reach 100%). At coffee stop now, 5.7 miles/kWh after a lot of hill climbs. 81% remaining. #MPGM18
Final sitrep of #MPGM18 day 1: ended route with 55% battery remaining after 169 miles driven. 5.7 miles/kWh average over that distance, with final stint in full-on rush hour traffic around Coventry. The @Hyundai_UK #Kona #Electric has been faultless and impressive all day long.
Sitrep #MPGM18 economy up now to 5.8miles/kWh, and in heavy Brummy city traffic, with lots of stop start.
Second leg has been a little easier on the MPG Marathon entrants. Just landed at the @ApplebyInn for coffee. #MPGM18

Heading to the Midlands for this year’s MPG Marathon, in what will be the oldest car at the start line (though it would have been able to enter the second year of the event). I won’t be eligible to win, but it’ll be interesting to see how this gets on. #mpgm18
