Smarter routing (e.g. send /api one way, /images another) but slightly more overhead. Common algorithms I revised todayRound Robin: Requests go 1 → 2 → 3 → 1… Simple and fair when all servers are equal. Least Connections: Sends the next request to the server that currently has the fewest active connections. Better when request times vary.
