The 3rd Meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of #NICDIT was chaired by Hon’ble Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. @nsitharaman.

The meeting focused on faster infrastructure completion, land allotment, investor mobilisation, production and employment generation under #NICDP.
Hon’ble FM emphasised PM #GatiShakti-led planning, stronger SPVs and removal of bottlenecks, while Hon’ble CIM called for aggressive investor outreach, plug-and-play infrastructure and investment-ready industrial ecosystems.
With 20 approved projects across 13 States and 11 Industrial Corridors, #NICDP continues to gain momentum.
#BHAVYA received 87 applications from States for up to 20 projects in the first round, reflecting strong interest in the next phase of industrial infrastructure development.

Developing Tumakuru as Karnataka’s Next Industrial Hub
₹7,000 Crore Investment, 88,000+ Jobs
300 Acres for Japanese Industrial Township, 200 Acres for MSMEs
Virtually attended the 3rd Apex Authority meeting of the #NICDIT today, chaired by Hon'ble Union Finance Minister Smt. @nsitharaman ravaru and Hon'ble Union Minister for Commerce & Industry Sri @PiyushGoyal ravaru.
Presented Karnataka’s priorities and progressive approach towards strengthening the industrial ecosystem and accelerating industrial development.
Our State is working on a war footing to transform Tumakuru into Karnataka’s premier manufacturing hub after Bengaluru.
We have reserved 1,736 acres for the Tumakuru Node under the Bengaluru-Chennai Industrial Corridor, projecting ₹7,000 crore in investments and creating over 88,000 jobs. Progress is moving fast with 30% physical and 20% financial completion, including 300 acres for a Japanese Industrial Township and 200 acres dedicated to MSMEs.
Land acquisition is progressing smoothly toward the target completion in 2027, with a focus on Food & Beverages, Textiles, Electronics, Chemicals, Engineering, and Logistics.
We are also committed to extending full support for the timely completion of the PM MITRA Textile Park in Kalaburagi and projects under the BHAVYA scheme.
Karnataka will continue to build on these initiatives to strengthen the industrial ecosystem and accelerate growth and investment.
Chief Ministers and Industrial Ministers from across the States participated in the meeting. From Karnataka, Industrial Department Principal Secretary Sri Selvakumar, Chief Minister’s Secretary Sri Nakul, KIADB CEO Sri Govind Reddy and other senior officials were also present.
The #NICDIT Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (#SPV), has been established to drive the development of the #Zaheerabad Industrial Area under the Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor (#HNIC).
