I always love these threads. There was a #nobservation one with a teacher blowing a whistle and thereby accidentally signalling a steam train to leave station without the class which is still my fave.

My #nobservation told me that I didn't show progress in 25 minutes. So, those randomly selected kids at lesson end just spontaneously explained complex ideas grounded in textual reference and language analysis using key terms as if by magic? Divine intervention, maybe? ๐ค
This is not about SLT-bashing.
This is about a system of monitoring, scrutiny and judgement which does not work.
