Learning can be a lifelong process and systems should better allow it, @RustyGreiff of @JFFtweets says. Creating greater acceptance for #nonlinearlearning is #WhatMustChange, along with closing an #equitygap for #underserved populations, he adds.

@DCGreyMattersUK The copy I bought finally dropped through the door earlier this week, and it’s as if @DCGreyMattersUK and @_ACruickshank knew exactly how I would start reading it ! #NonLinearLearning

Kisiksessä taitokonfassa ke-to. Key speakerit alan huippua, vihoidkin mukana myös @Skillit11 #MotorSkillsConf19 #SkillsAcquisition #EcologicalDynamics #NonlinearLearning
Because of the Ignite presentation I just heard by @dkonopelko, I have to change my own #ISTE19 presentation to include his succinct and clear balance viewpoint that sums up my own about #flippedlearning and #nonlinearlearning.
Thanks to @RowanBurlington and to @TerrencePSherl1 for inviting me to give a keynote about a topic that I am passionate about! October 19 is coming fast and will be awesome. #collsedu #flippedlearning #nonlinearlearning

Today, I'm working on my third sabbatical proposal for @tcnj (unfortunately, my last two were denied). However, this proposal is better. It's progressive and forward-thinking. This proposal is undeniable. #thirdtimesacharm #digitalfabrication #creativecoding #nonlinearlearning
A5. @flippedlearning is a TOTAL power up for me. I am going to double down my #nonlinearlearning game this fall after an unfortunate exchange motivated me to #leveluplead my students into awesomeness. #ProDriven
So about this #nonlinearlearning thing. It’s a powerful way to take your class to the next level. If you have several example of one concept, give the kids all the examples, then ask them to draw the connections. Allows them to explore more examples then in traditional learning
@flippingwithjoy @flipping_A_tchr @KtBkr4 @khogendorp Science classes can be hard to do with #nonlinearlearning. Soft sciences like @teachJGoldberg teaches is a little easier. But it’s about connecting ideas.
Or, to apply some #nonlinearlearning in a different way, why not teach how you have always taught and have the kids come up with their own mind map and how they are all connected. Then have them defend it. @flipping_A_tchr @KtBkr4 @khogendorp @flippingwithjoy
The point that I make with #nonlinearlearning is that when you flip, the teacher doesn’t *have* to go in a certain order. There could be so many examples to demonstrate a point or concept that we can let the students choose which ones to go to and remove us Ts from the equation!

My passion is #nonlinearlearning. I love it as a tool to reach students. Anyone else use mind maps to foster student autonomy? If so, I’d love to hear from you. Also, I need a shorter hashtag. Suggestions?

@collsphysistry @FliptechEC @flippedlearning @matthew_t_moore @bakerhhhs @flipping_A_tchr @gilbertng_yf @lanier_katiesue @ken_bauer @flippingwithjoy @crbuitrago @weltyteaching @MrsStephenson3 This is something I’ve been exploring myself. I haven’t implemented it yet - still breaking my own mind out of the linear rut - but I definitely see #nonlinearlearning as a way to help Ss take more ownership of learning. May experiment with physics or astro this year.
Now that @FliptechEC tags are winding down and @flippedlearning #FTEC18 is moving to a purely digital (mainly Twitter-based) forum, let me asked experienced flippers to think about #nonlinearlearning in their classrooms. S choice is one of the biggest factors in S achievement.

I feel like #nonlinearlearning is a road even less travelled than flipped learning. Give students the choice and you can see them flourish.
I think the hardest part of #nonlinearlearning is me getting over my traditional mindset. Finding a theme and linkage seems so easy (Its not) Then, trying to come up with one good question to tie it all together is even harder. Challenges me to be a better teacher.

Hey @ECET2NJPA I’m going to be in the main area giving a workshop on #flipclass and #nonlinearlearning. Who wants to come? #ECET2LIFE
Today's session definitely showed that #challenge #failure #learning #development #growthmindset all go together in a high-level training environment.
