📍Later today, the Committee of Ministers will hold an extraordinary meeting to authorise Secretary General Alain Berset to sign the agreement with Ukraine on the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression.
Tomorrow — a truly historic moment. Ukraine and the @CoE will officially sign the agreement on establishing the Special Tribunal. What once seemed like a distant dream of justice is now becoming reality.

A few weeks after hosting the @PACE_News Standing Committee in Malta, it was a pleasure to reconnect with @RoussopoulosTh on the margins of the #PACEsummer2025 in Strasbourg.
We discussed ongoing efforts towards peace and justice for Ukraine, as well as broader geopolitical developments that call for stronger multilateral engagement to uphold human rights in our region and beyond, including the Middle East.
I reaffirmed the @MaltaCoE #MTCoE2025 Presidency’s determination to strengthening ties between the @CoE Committee of Ministers and the Assembly.
Today in Strasbourg we continue building strong momentum under the @MaltaCoE #MTCoE2025 Presidency, grounded in good-faith dialogue and international cooperation.
At #PACEsummer2025, I will deliver my first address to the @PACE_News as Chair of the @coe Committee of Ministers, as we update the Assembly on our ambitious programme for the months ahead.
This afternoon I am also chairing an extraordinary session of the Committee of Ministers on the bilateral agreement establishing the Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.
There can be no lasting peace in Ukraine, and in Europe, without justice and accountability.
I am participating in the #PACEsummer2025 session as a delegate of the Coordination Council @rada_vision at @PACE_News.
Today, I spoke at @PACE_LegalHR on the topic of the release of Belarusian combatants fighting for Ukraine from Russian captivity.
Tomorrow, the main focus of my work at @PACE_News will be on the issue of holding Lukashenko accountable for the unlawful transfer of Ukrainian children.
At the sidelines of #PACEsummer2025, Ukrainian delegation traditionally met with the Canadian one – featuring the representatives of both chambers.
Main topics are well known. We discussed strengthening sanctions and military support for Ukraine, especially as concerns the air defense systems. Also talked about the prospect of the usage of russian frozen assets.
