⬇️ We reduced average added sugars in our beverages by 1⃣2⃣.4⃣% across the EU-27🇪🇺 and UK🇬🇧 between 2019 and 2024 - exceeding our voluntary commitment of a 10% reduction between 2019 and 2025.
♻️ 5⃣1⃣.7⃣% of the PET used by UNESDA corporate members is recycled PET (#rPET). That puts us ahead of our sector’s 2025 target of 50% rPET and well above the EU’s mandatory requirements of 25% rPET by 2025 and 30% by 2030.

How is Slovakia🇸🇰 moving #PackagingCircularity forward?
Our colleague Lucia Morvai is presenting the journey of the Slovak #DepositReturnSystem (#DRS) at today's event organised by @SLOVAKIAinEU, @AustriaatEU and @CZECHIAinEU
Slovakia did it and it is achieving impressive collection rates of #BeveragePackaging!
High collection rates of beverage packaging is also achievable by other EU Member States.
However, to get there, the European Parliament and the Council must maintain in #PPWR the obligation to set up #DRS with potential exemptions for some Member States if justified by their collection rates.
