@path_JC I hope future research might uncover if MHC class I loss can be an additional predictive marker for effectiveness of immunotherapies targetting PD-L1. It already seems a sound premise in theory. 🤔 #pathJC

Exactly! Future studies on these should be done in tandem with our oncologist colleagues, so much to explore with the molecular landscape of tumors being more and more familiar! All for better outcomes for our patients 🙏🏼#pathJC

#pathjc This study examined MHC class I expression in endometrial carcinomas with mismatch repair and PD-L1 expression - Serous carcinomas were excluded - None of the tumors had previous treatment by chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immunotherapy

@anueru432 @path_JC No, MMRd group deliberately included some Lynch patients as well as patients with MLH1 hypermethylation and somatic mutations. Mechanism of MMRd didn't influence MHC class I expression (in contrast to what we've seen with PD-L1 and TIM-3!). #pathJC
