@mskiervin In this type of school, Ss will be able to see themselves as individuals and their own growth rather than feeling like they are being levelled or compared to by a grade. #PeelABC #AssessPeel

A3: We know that students come to us with a different set of skills and some have more challenges than others. I really like the idea of meeting students where they are and empowering them to monitor their own progress and motivating them to find strategies to improve. #PeelABC
A3: It would eliminate distracting factors. The focus, for both students and teachers, would be on master of the learning. I think it would increase differentiation and responsiveness in our teaching. I think it would increase student ownership and engagement. #PeelABC
@MsKarakasis @MsNiro13 I have also found that the upfront work required in creating learning maps is well worth the effort, positively impacting both Ss and Ts. This is some of the key learning I hope to continue to share with colleagues in future assessment conversations. #AssessPeel #PeelABC
@MsGillianRead @mskiervin I do something like this for reader response journals online, I really like it and I find the students go back and look at it often to help with their thinking and reflecting. #PeelABC
@MsGillianRead I think setting an inclusive climate in the beginning of the year & recognizing that every Ss has different strengths that can be used purposefully is important. With flexible seating as well, it helps for Ss to work w/ different Ss & learn about each other. #PeelABC #AssessPeel
