Apart from this, however, the 2023 season in the Atlantic looks like it's coming to its demise, and it would take a rather unlikely two more subtropical storms to exhaust this year's name list. #PTC22 no mas...... who saw that coming?? Nice little No Name Low at the top of the moisture surge/frontal boundary etc.
Yet another wave that had a 70+% chance of tropical cyclogenesis in the #Caribbean at one point, only to ultimately fall apart meekly. #PTC22 can officially be added to the growing list of model headaches that have plagued the 2023 season, which saw the GFS leading a nosedive in predicted-formation reliability.
PTC is no longer PTC-ing. #22L has basically lost all its chances of formation & is no longer expected to form (or at least very unlikely since it’s at 10%). It’s just no longer able to form a well defined center & dry air continues to be an issue. #tropicswx
