Most 2024 observers have forgotten about or never knew about #Rathergate - when @60Minutes used phony documents in an attempt to denigrate the Texas Air National Guard service of George W. Bush and, thereby, influence the 2004 election.
The reputation of 60 Minutes was flushed down the toilet back then, but itโs actually good that they reminded us who they are.
It takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a minute to destroy it. @60minutes has just destroyed its reputation for objectivity and integrity.
What pressure was brought to bear to make @60minutes do this and by whom?
The viewing public deserves a full and transparent explanation.
