I think we need to collectively decide on the definition of “progressive.”
Is aligning with autocratic regimes considered progressive?
Is expressive vocal support for the “axis of resistance” who have slaughtered, raped, and tortured countless Middle Easterners considered progressive?
Is inviting the Islamic Republic to chair multiple forums at the U.N. considered progressive?
Is calling Hamas “freedom fighters” and cheering on Houthi aggression in the Red Sea considered progressive?
Is refusing to put the Islamic Republic on the #IRGCterrorists list because, per @JosepBorrellF, “you can’t call people terrorists just because you don’t like them,” considered progressive?
Is advocating for the destruction of the west and democracy considered progressive?
Is silencing opposing viewpoints with the use of threats, fear, intimidation, and doxing tactics considered progressive?
Is voting “nay” on bills that prohibit Hamas members from entering the U.S. to harm Americans considered progressive?
Is voting “nay” on the Mahsa Act that puts sanctions on the Supreme Leader considered progressive?
Is waving Hezbollah and Hamas flags at protests considered progressive?
Is sympathizing with the Islamic Republic considered “progressive”?
Is denying the indigeneity of minority groups in the Middle East considered progressive?
Is ignoring the cries of the Iranian people being lynched daily and siding with their oppressors considered progressive?
Is denying rape considered progressive?
Is whitewashing terrorism considered progressive?
Is teaching illiberal values and revisionist history to our youth considered progressive?
Because I’ve witnessed all of the above and I’ve never seen a single one of them kicked of the “progressive” club.
Once we get a firm definition of what progressive is and what it isn’t, then we can decide who gets to be in the “progressive”
club, but the way things are going, you won’t have to work much harder to convince people to leave.

Meet Lisa Stanton. Lisa “transed” her 5 year old son because he liked dolls, dresses, and stereotypical girl toys. Per a 2022 affidavit, Lisa claimed that as soon as her son began speaking, he said he was “born in the wrong body” (as toddlers do).
At the age of 3, the boys parents took him to a child psychologist at Texas Children’s hospital. The psychologist suggested their son may be transgender. After 1.5 years in therapy, the boys physicians finally told the Stantons that allowing him to transition was a matter of life or death. Lisa and her husband legally changed their 6 year old son’s name and began using female pronouns.
Today, Lisa speaks to the media lamenting how her son cannot compete against girls in school sports or how she has to move out of Texas to continue harming her son. Journalists like Emma Tucker attempt to elicit sympathy for parents who have done the worst to their children and who fight for others to do the same.
