ECT is neither safe or effective it causes brain damage and it never saves lives ever has or ever will it destroys lives and we have to somehow make sense of our brain injuries from it over time and somehow carry on in life and try to move forwards the best we can.
It causes a huge spike in blood pressure and the headache after the "treatment" is horrendous. I was given ECT 6 times even though I had a cerebral insult. Barbaric.
