So, I'm happy to say that we merged support for the JH7100 and JH7110 in @oreboot_org over the weekend. Next up is #RustSBI. In other words, we can bring up this upcoming board very quickly! Oh and given the RPi form factor, it'll nicely stack up with the Nezha and others. 🥳

Went cheap again - just printing CCCCCCC... as a test payload. DRAM works just fine. \o/ Who would like to see @oreboot_org implement #RustSBI on the @StarFiveTech #VisionFive 2? :-) Or help make it happen - there are a few things to do. I'll put a Linux kernel in flash already.

You know, I just had to... 🤪🤭 Now the framebuffer setup needs some fixing with offset or whatever. Anyway, this is #Doom, running on the @mangopi_sbc MQ-Pro (Allwinner D1) #RISCV platform, from #oreboot + #RustSBI + #LinuxBoot, over `cpu`. cpu mangopi ./doom -file DOOM.WAD 👩‍💻

We're getting there... #oreboot + #RustSBI in #QEMU to speed up tooling development, such as decompression - since there is no self-compression on RISC-V yet in #Linux. :-)

Here is an outline of how #oreboot pieced together: We start from a ROM with SRAM, initialize the platform, set up DRAM, copy the next stage into it, and continue there. On RISC-V, we pull in #RustSBI for the SBI implementation. Then we execute @LinuxBootOrg or any other payload.

The SBI implementation is @luojia65's #RustSBI. It allows us to keep everything before Linux fully in #Rust. \o/ If you have one such module, and you'd like to play with this, let me know and I can provide you with an image and instructions to load and run it. :-)

发布了Xuantie库的0.0.2版本，平头哥玄铁处理器的底层交互库。https://t.co/bQlQtrcw6Z 他们的RVB-ICE开发板好像能运行移植到 #RISCV 的安卓10，这个系统也是需要引导程序的。或许用Xuantie库拓展一下固件，让 #RustSBI 启动安卓10试试看？不过首先我得拿到一块RVB-ICE。有朋友有渠道吗？

#beaglev runs #oreboot, replacing 2ndboot. Further, with a linux kernel replacing u-boot. Next step, replace #opensbi with #rustsbi. Finally, need to bring ddr setup into #oreboot, as we did on SiFive. Any day you can replace C with rust is a good day.
