@eeb31 Either way, you want to maintain professional body language (don’t walk up with folded arms, watch what your eyebrows do...ive gotten in trouble for that one 😂) Remember, we are the most accessible HCP and sometimes these patients can’t get to a MD for whatever reason #rxchat

@eeb31 To me, this depends on how the conversation should go. What are you trying to communicate? Are you wanting to counsel? Use teach back to ensure understanding. Is the patient asking you a private question? Maintain adequate eye contact and appropriate volume #RxChat

@eeb31 #RxChat LISTEN TO THEIR NEEDS. Your primary concerns as a healthcare provider are not always what your patient is concerned about. If you don't address your patients concerns about leg pain, they will not adhere to any of your recommendations for HTN or T2DM.

@MissKelsey_RX #RxChat I usually try to have a solution for the issue in mind before I pick up the phone. Providers love to not have to think when you page them after hours.

@eeb31 YES. Physicians want it really concise, nurses want to be acknowledged for their efforts for the patient (usually), and patients are hurt/scared/confused/concerned (I'm in hospice, there's a lot to be worried about!) #RxChat
