Hon’ble Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia ji, Minister of Communications, Government of India. Kindly recall my various letters to your honour requesting with folded hands to not only save MTNL but initiate such an action which will give inspiration not only to the employees but to the customers too and also praying to your honour to bless this Company not only for its survival but to energize. But nothing could happen and today 6 banks have frozen the accounts of this Company as it owes Rs.873.50 crores to these banks which is evident from the attached News in a Marathi news paper. Government took the decision of land monetization for survival of this Company. Delhi is the capital of India while Mumbai is financial capital of India and MTNL was lucky to cater these Metro Cities. Both the units of MTNL in these cities have huge land Bank. But 'DIPAM' has not achieved one per cent success in Land Monetization even after Ministry’s announcement. Even in the last budget Government allotted substantial fund for the revival of MTNL & BSNL but it has remained on paper as no development is seen on the ground. Your honour is well aware that since I sworn in as Member of Parliament in the year 2014, I have been raising this issue on every platform including the floor of the Parliament. This Government had ample time to revive this Company but I feel very sorry to say that this is nothing but miserable failure of the Government. The policies of the Government has strangulated the MTNL and has put the employees to hardship. Nobody is coming clear regarding BSNL too, as to whether the employees of MTNL will be absorbed in BSNL or will be sent on deputation to BSNL. The present situation is such that the technical services of MTNL / BSNL are going from bad to worse. We never expected the Government to act like this which always speaks of “Atmanirbhar’ and ‘Sabka Vikas’. The ‘Atma’ of MTNL is on ventilator placed by inaction of the Government. Is it Vikasit Bharat ? This is nothing but a sabotage. I strongly protect this action by the Department of Communication and expect your honour to introspect, intervene and investigate the failure and further expect the strong remedial action please.
