@BSC_RhythmUK A10. (2/2/ Anyone can do a screening! It’s just a 3-lead ECG. For those of you considering starting your own S-ICD service, this would be a great opportunity for you to collaborate with our hospital to see implants. Remember you can screen anyone to practice! #screeningfirst

@BSC_RhythmUK Most importantly a shared decision is made at time of consult for patients. With L & R screening we are getting more patients that have the option of S-ICD. A reduction in RRT means they get a device within an appropriate time frame! #screeningfirst #SICDfirst

@Kim44062659 @BSC_RhythmUK At the moment, they currently as the same. The biggest limitation we have is GA cover. However, we have been prioritising patients as per @BHRSociety guidance which can be found at https://t.co/KMlYDpx8P0 #ScreeningFirst

@BSC_RhythmUK A6 (1/2): Training comprises of: 5-9 standard SICD screening; 1x exercise screening; 1x inpatient screening & observe 1x SICD implant. Being part of an SICD implant is key! It helps reinforce the importance of the ECG position making the whole process effortless. #ScreeningFirst

@BSC_RhythmUK A5: We have a dedicated SICD inbox with email/phone number to which referrals are sent to and queries can be answered. The aim is to go from referral to implant within 6-8 weeks. (See our attached pathway) #ScreeningFirst #SICDFirst

@BSC_RhythmUK A4. SO, showing my age, back in 2015 we had many issues getting screenings prior to implant/ let alone consultation. Producing longer RRT times, low patient satisfaction, low awareness around the device. #pateintfirst #screeningfirst #frustratiion #sicdfirst
