We asked Stage 32 Industry Readers what issues they see most in the scripts they evaluate.
"Generic plot. Generic characters. On-the-nose dialogue."
All three are the same problem: not specific enough to be only yours. Which one sneaks into your drafts?

The most common note from a Stage 32 Industry Reader who evaluates scripts daily:
"A commercial screenplay literally has to show an audience something new. Revisiting genre tropes is not enough. Homage is dead."
What does your script show that is new?

🎬 Is your screenplay dragging? A 110-page script should have 40-60 scenes. Too few = slow burn that bores. Too many = whiplash storytelling. Pacing problems hide in plain sight. #Screenwriting #ScriptPacing #ScreenwritingTips #Filmmaking #ScriptNotes https://t.co/CklRV7gbse
