The fire is moving into a crux at Lovers Leap. Once it moves 3/4 mile east to Camp Sacramento it will have what firefighters call 'alignment' - all the factors which drive rapid fire spread (terrain, winds, heavy fuel) are present to fuel a major run up through Sierra at Tahoe.
Dry lightning is what produced Orange-pocalypse day last year, after strikes started the #czulightningcomplex, #sculightningcomplex and #lnulightningccomplex.
