Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Chapter -6
The punishment for murder in India.
Punishment for Murder
-Death or Life Imprisonment:
Whoever commits murder shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.
- Group Murder:
If a Group of Five or More Persons Acting in Concert Commits Murder on the Ground of:
- Race
- Caste or community
- Sex
- Place of birth
- Language
- Personal Belief or any Other Similar Ground.
Each Member of Such a Group Shall be Punished with:
- Death
- Imprisonment for life, and shall also be Liable to Fine.
Important
- The punishment for Murder is Severe, Reflecting the Seriousness of Taking Another Person's Life.
- The Honourable Court has the Discretion to impose Either the Death Penalty or Life Imprisonment, Along With a Fine.
- The section Main Objective to Deter Group Violence and Hate Crimes based on Various Grounds.
(Including Corrections.
The Orders, Judgments, Guidance, etc. of The Honoruable Court are Final).

இந்தியாவில் கொலைக்கான தண்டனை.
கொலைக்கான தண்டனை
-மரண அல்லது ஆயுள் தண்டனை:
கொலை செய்பவருக்கு மரண தண்டனை அல்லது ஆயுள் தண்டனை விதிக்கப்படும், மேலும் அபராதமும் விதிக்கப்படும்.
- குழு கொலை:
ஐந்து அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட நபர்கள் இணைந்து செயல்படும் குழு பின்வரும் காரணங்களுக்காக கொலை செய்தால்:
- இனம்
- சாதி அல்லது சமூகம்
- பாலினம்
- பிறந்த இடம்
- மொழி
- தனிப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கை அல்லது வேறு ஏதேனும் ஒத்த காரணம்.
அத்தகைய குழுவின் ஒவ்வொரு உறுப்பினரும் பின்வரும் காரணங்களுக்காக தண்டிக்கப்படுவார்கள்:
- மரணம்
- ஆயுள் தண்டனை, மேலும் அபராதம் விதிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
முக்கியமானது
- கொலைக்கான தண்டனை கடுமையானது, மற்றொரு நபரின் உயிரைப் பறிப்பதன் தீவிரத்தை பிரதிபலிக்கிறது.
- மரண தண்டனை அல்லது ஆயுள் தண்டனை, அபராதத்துடன் சேர்த்து விதிக்கும் உரிமை மாண்பைமிகு நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு உள்ளது.
- பல்வேறு காரணங்களின் அடிப்படையில் குழு வன்முறை மற்றும் வெறுப்பு குற்றங்களைத் தடுப்பதே முக்கிய நோக்கம் என்ற பிரிவு.
