And instead of lying in his duvet on the couch binge-watching Real Housewives like every other normal sick human on the planet, he turned out in 31 degrees to give tennis a red hot crack. Our sweet, sweet ginger was so worried about the fans missing work for nothing (tell us you’ve never had a real job when you’re genuinely worried people are annoyed about skipping a day of their real jobs 🤣), that he dragged his feverish, disease-ridden body around the court for five games. Clearly, he’s just as big of a people-pleaser as the rest of us - yet further proof celebrities really are the same as you and me…… 😉 As expected, both Jannik and Carlos were the epitome of grace and sportsmanship throughout. So, naturally, their most toxic fans ignored all of this classy behaviour modelling, and unleashed virtual hellfire on each other. Our favourite Jannik superfan assured us all today that “karma always delivers at some point” and, after reading the TT timeline post-match, I can only hope that, for the first time ever, he is correct. Carlos also saw Terence’s Pokémon card gift and 50,000 Jannik-related posts, and decided to throw his own hat in the #1 Sinnerista ring, by donating 2/3 of his Instagram post and finals interviews to the ginger. But, his determination to always compete to his limit, his inability to be anything other than an utterly decent human in every situation, and his knack for always delivering a GOAT of a trophy speech, only continues to reinforce that we have placed our support behind the right guy. 👏 Finally, a big congratulations to Carlos, for yet another trophy under his belt in a mammoth season. But, I think we can all agree the true MVP of this year’s tournament was the Cincy social media team. FORZA. 🦊🧡
