There is alot of dissipating going on in the crack tip process zone: #viscoelasticity, #straincrystallization, #MullinsEffect. Could rly use FCG rate laws that incorporate process zone behaviors.

Pierre Antoine ALBOUY at #ECCMR19 measured #straincrystallization in #Polychloroprene #CR. Crystallization happens quite rapidly, espeically at high strain (ie at a crack tip)!
