#Suicides #selfmurder #takeupcross #crucify #Bible An Act of Killing One's Self the Bible Allows Q. Not too long ago you gave a summation of the act of suicide. That it is in fact murder. We in our love for our family members that have done this wrong try to justify these horrible acts with candy coated excuses. But the study you gave today was as clear as a bell. Obedience to the word of God is the goal of every true believer. And God's mandate. Suicide is the transgressing of God' law. And God lays it out clearly in Matt. 10:34-39. He that his family more… not worthy of me. A. Suicide is a very grievous thing for family and friends. This world has always been a very difficult place. Full of troubles and many sorrows. These things have intensified in our day. Sometimes a man or a woman gets extremely cast down in spirit & they think about ending their pain. Occasionally some do commit suicide. It is just as possible for a child of God to be saved and murder another individual (as king David did when he had Uriah the Hittite slain) as it would be for a child of God to commit suicide. If anyone would have looked upon David at the time of his sin, they would have concluded he was not a true child of God. And they would have been wrong. We therefore can't know for sure if someone that kills (murders) themselves was saved or not. We can leave that with the Lord. If anyone of us is so weary and tired of life (& many are weary and tired) then go to the Lord & ask Him if it’s His will to take you. If He does not take you, then you can know it is God's perfect will that you continue to live & to live precisely in the present circumstances that He has you in. If we are really ready to end our life, then why not say, alright, today I will die to myself. I will put to death my members and mortify my flesh by no longer living according to their lusts. That is, I will commit suicide in the only way that the Lord allows, by crucifying my desires and by taking up my cross and dying to the things of this world. Living this day for Christ would be a true act of self killing.

Christianity is not about conforming God into our image—rather it’s conforming ourselves into His. #takeupcross #wisdomhunters #ChristianEducators

Matthew 16- losing my life for the sake of Jesus means I watch out for false teaching, I set mind on God’s interests, I deny myself, I take up my cross, & I follow Jesus. Anything less is keeping my life for myself. #QT #Bible #takeupcross #followJesus #Jesus #denyself #Matthew

Saints, it's noteworthy how many people can talk/think about Jesus the Christ in many, many ways and never focus on His lordship - both in their lives (if they profess to be Christ's followers) and over all creation. His disciples #denySelf #takeupCross #obeyfollowHim (Luke9:23)
