@a_ferrares @SilviaBernardin & their colleagues from UBologna propose an innovative & fascinating "comparallel" approach to #newstranslation
They provide fascinating insights into the notions of #sourcetext & #targettext, and, ultimately, #translation

@MidouDiallo You can use it to highlight a custom piece of text by simply appending /#targetText=keyword to the URL, like in the visual example I shared.
Google is also currently testing the feature to highlight Featured Snippet answer content.
@ericlaw @DotProto That patch changes :~:targetText=foo to :~:text=foo, but Eric is right: it used to be just #targetText=foo.
First time I've seen this.
Google is adding its own in page anchors to rich snippets in order to send users directly to the portion of the page that answers their question.
🔗 Ever wanted to link to text when there's no anchors available?
An experimental flag has been introduced since Chrome 74.0.3706.0 that allows to do just that 👀
Enable at:
chrome://flags#enable-text-fragment-anchor
And then link to text using #targetText=<text> in the URL!
Linking to a specific word on a page is already available in Chrome Canary under the `Enable Text Fragment Anchor` flag.
e.g. `/#targetText=my%20text`
