Counting down my Top 10 films from MAMI, the Mumbai Film Festival. At Number 10 - The Green Border by Agnieszka Holland.

NYFF61 Press Screening: So glad I made it to The Green Border screening. Agnieszka Holland's courageous and tough-to-watch narrative film is indeed no holds barred and shows us a bleak and terrifying look at what refugees may be facing. Incredibly evocative film. #TheGreenBorder
In #TheGreenBorder, Black/Brown refugees are pushed between Poland and Belarus. Borders are a terrifying purgatory.
Yet Ukrainian refugees are treated with compassion—even their pets get places on buses.
POC subjects seeking asylum are not just subhuman but subanimal.

Russian and Belarussian services are responsible for organizing attacks perpetrated by aggressive migrants against the Polish border.
This operation of destabilizing NATO eastern flank has been continuously going on since 2021.

The presence of foreigners at the BY-PL border allows the BY and RU services to attempt to destabilize Poland, but also to conduct propaganda activities against 🇵🇱.
This has been happening since 2021. And it's still happening today.

Artists at Risk (AR) joins @_EAoA_ & @EuroFilmAcademy to stand in solidarity w/ filmmaker #AgnieszkaHolland, who faces unwarranted criticism from right-wing politicians accusing her work as defaming #Poland.

The scandalous film #TheGreenBorder by Agnieszka Holland is a pure invention and lies sponsored by German tv ZDF founded by German Nazi!🤮_They are producing lies about Poland, just to present Poles in bad light and to not pay the #WarReparationsForPoland! #GermanCrimesInPoland
German public TV- ZDF's director was awarded by Hitler Nazi ! No surprise they lie about WW2 and #GermanDeathCamps ! https://t.co/z5hmxgQoSk
The 🇵🇱-🇧🇾 border still undergoes destabilisation attempts. Attacks against Polish patrols and border barrier are coordinated by 🇧🇾 and 🇷🇺 services. More and more often individuals in uniforms organize border incidents.
The 🇵🇱 border is and will be protected.

Russia is the main transport hub for the hybrid operation against Poland. Migrants storming the Polish border have documents issued by Russia. They came to Russia legally and with Kremlin’s consent.

The hybrid operation against Poland continues. 🇷🇺 and 🇧🇾 are still trying to destabilize the 🇵🇱.
The aim of these activities, carried out since 2021, is to destabilize Europe and weaken NATO. Once again, migrants storming the PL' border have docs issued by Russia. #TheGreenBorder
