It kind of feels like either Eric or Darcy could have kissed Thor in that final sequence. The only reason Jane does it is because she’s Jane Freaking Foster. We’re told that Thor and Jane are a thing more often than we get to see it between them. #thorrynotthorry
But this is a film which simultaneously acknowledges the female gaze, still rare for superhero stories, and ignores other things that a female audience might enjoy, like a coherent romance narrative, or better written parts for the female characters. #thorrynotthorry
In conclusion: original recipe Thor did some stuff really well and some other stuff badly. Casting & performances were great. Design was good. Structure was messy. Integration with the rest of the MCU was still a novelty and handled excellently. #thorrynotthorry
