BREAKING: The whole island of #Tinian in the Northern Mariana Islands is now inside the eye of Typhoon #Sinlaku. It is the only second major typhoon in recorded history (since 1945) to directly traverse the island — after Super Typhoon "Yutu" (2018).
It now also ranks among the top five storms with the highest Accumulated Cyclone Energy (ACE) globally this year.

La advertencia de vientos extremos ha sido extendida hasta las 9:15 PM para #Saipan y #Tinian debido al paso de Sinlaku.
El radar Doppler muestra una “doble pared” alrededor del ojo, y justo en la pared interna del ojo, al sureste, mantiene vientos de hasta 155 mph. Se observa claramente en satélite y radar. Esto es señal de un fenómeno extremadamente poderoso.
El sistema se está moviendo muy lento (~3 mph), lo que significa vientos destructivos por donde pase el ojo por largas horas. Este boletín se emite muy pocas veces, pero cuando hay huracanes o tifones extremos, como cuando fue el huracán Maria en Puerto Rico en 2017, es el que indicó que se tiene que quedar en un cuarto interior reforzado, alejarse de puertas y ventanas, no salir aunque ocurra calma, y proteger la familia al máximo.
