One final reflection from #tmcnyc19: when presenting folks with math problems, they can be open-ended or have possibilities for further questions
But if you present it as more of a puzzle than a problem, people want to know THE answer. They only want one.

After last year's version #tmcnyc19 I left scratching my head over a problem. This year that happened too, but in a different way. This year I had worked the problem out to my own satisfaction but others weren't so convinced @toddf9 So I appealed to @DavidKButlerUoA+
I’m still deep in @akismetoo & @benjamindickman’s #tmcnyc19 sessions yesterday. Very different but both asked us to consider how our values inform our practice, one in the context of HW, the other in disrupting harmful narratives in math/with math.
Glad I got to share the ideas I started developing @MathforAmerica’s #MfAsummerthink. I hope to hear some more ideas, questions and challenges from the rest of #tmcnyc19 #mtbos #iteachmath community on making more meaning homework in mathematics!
