Another #TrainRant 😅: EMR train delayed “due to slippery rails.” I wonder if the rain affects only the trains of this service 🤔 Greater Anglia trains are running fine on the same rails 🚆

I #TrainRant to myself (and to my Twitter followers) as I type this on my phone standing in the aisle drawing looks from those lucky enough to have seats. I had a reservation but the driver said it’s not valid anymore 😂

On LNER Azuma to York, where I’ll present today @ Dept of History seminar. Train delayed, platform change in the last minute, nearly boarded wrong Azuma. This train’s packed (earlier train cancelled). I guess buying Japanese trains doesn’t guarantee efficient service 🤔#TrainRant

Trains should sell two types of tickets one where you get to sit down, can you imagine and one where you stand up all the way. That would be cheaper obviously. #trainrant.

What sort of person thinks it’s acceptable to watch a TV show on their phone without headphones on a train at 5.30 in the morning? Can he not see everyone on the carriage dreaming of smashing his phone into tiny pieces? #trainrant #commute

A 3.3% train fare hike. £9.50 to go 1 stop (13 mins). You would think it was those doing the decent thing and using public transport that were being punished. The system is badly broke and needs fixed. Esp outside of the London Oyster bubble #trainrant #farehike

@GWRHelp I know I'm on a travel rant today, but I have been on this train for 2.5 hours and have yet to see a refreshment trolley or a conductor. This is also not unusual. It's ridiculous, frankly. #trainrant over

Seriously, what is the point of pre-booking train tickets to reserve a seat when the trains are either (a) routinely cancelled and/or (b) so horribly overcrowded that you can’t even get anywhere near the seat you’ve reserved? #trainrant #commuterwoes

I think the job of a signalar should be automated and for a computer to determine the outcome. I’m fed up of having on time trains turn into delayed >10mins all because said person has made the wrong decision about how long another delayed train will arrive #trainRant
