Can you solve my daughter's HS challenge math problem? There are 10 kids, assorted into various (possibly overlapping) groups. Each group has an odd number of people, but the intersection of any two has an even number. Show there are at most ten groups.

Awake in the middle of the night and have decided to #trymathslive with this from @mrsouthernmaths shared by @mathsjem.
The challenge task that I used to accompany this was this beauty from @mrsouthernmaths which was inspired by the Susan Wall task. Students have to suggest possible equations for the line and parabola. They should generalise their answer. Try it!
