@W_Wat Too right - what chance do parents have! There are lots of online healthy fund raisers - selling practical stuff. So bizarre to ask people to eat "junk" to raise money! Good #Health & #Wellbeing depends on #nutrition not #ultraprocessing

So it took more than 50 years from the early warnings of trans fats until proper measures were made. Will we wait 58 years before we accept the fact that #ultraprocessing in general matters? And that preventing NCDs requires whole foods, not reformulating the ultra-processed?
Ignored, ridiculed for decades, Biochemist Fred Kummerow 1st reported a link between trans fats & heart disease in 1957! In 2009, he petitioned FDA to ban trans fats. NO RESPONSE. 2013 he sued FDA. 2015 FDA agreed to phase out trans by 2018. Who was FDA protecting?
This is the study I have been wanting to do for years. I didn't have the position or the funding, but luckily @KevinH_PhD did. What he found is that #ultraprocessing of foods really matters for energy balance. Forget about carbs and fat. Go for quality and whole foods.
