Hey brother here is your reply. So the PM session is much more tricky than AM. You must have a bias to survive PM whereas AM you can be more of a pattern trader. The PM session is used to complete the daily objective. Whereas the NY AM session is usually meant to complete the session objective. When deciding what to do for PM you must ask yourself 1) what is the daily objective based on the 15m or 1H timeframe and has it been met 2) what did the AM session do. 3) where does this day need to close to further the weekly narrative. You see me talk a lot about "wait until noon". Noon is the magical time where there is a shift in the market. The market will start the PM macro which will head towards the true day objective OR serve as the retrace kick off point. Whether or not you get expansion or retracements completely depends on if the AM session hit daily goals. Now what makes PM so much trickier for many traders is price can expand at one of MANY points during the afternoon depending on where it is and what it has done thus far Key times to watch for PM. 11:50/12pm 12:06-12:10ish 12:30 1:30 1:53 2:15-2:30 3pm 3:20-3:30 3:45-3:50 4-4:10 Pro tip the low or high against the bias often put in between 1:30 and 2:15pm. Backtest this. This doesn't mean price expands at this point but this is usually when the major PM sweep occurs. 12:30/12:45 and 2:30 are common expansion times in normal scenarios depending on if price wants to move fast or slow towards objective. As you can see this is a ton of times but these are all times price will do something if the requirements have been met for expansion. Compare this with the morning when I only care about 930,936,945,10,10:15,10:30, 10:53-11:15. 80% of the tradable action for morning will occur between 945 and 1030 but in the PM literally any of the times I listed can start the move to the final daily objective. So how do we know what will be the time to watch for? You wait for the sweep. Assuming price doesn't run right at noon there will ALWAYS be a sweep. That is how you play the PM session. It moves much slower and rarely goes direct to target. Identify the bias correctly and wait for a REAL sweep at one of these times to then engage price in the direction of the ultimate daily target which you determine using 5m/15m projections from earlier in the day and aligning with an untapped FVG (or external liquidity) to be terminus. 3:30-4pm is no more special than any other times.
